Market-Q is a Java-based application that integrates global real-time financial market pricing, news, and research with sophisticated tools, including advanced charting and alert services. When it came time to make usability enhancements on Market-Q, eSignal turned to Mental Models. We met with the product management team to understand their requirements and we worked with the developers to get a handle on their specific technical constraints. As a final deliverable, we produced a PowerPoint presentation and supplemental documentation that helped the dev team make several well-received visual and usability enhancements, including an intuitive way to create new workspaces.
